Price is high. But for around $2k, you might have a good car if mileage is accurate. Reverse pop out is probably a fairly easy fix if you can diy, check the townsendimport.com site for details. Clutch replacement is about $300 parts $180 and labor 2hrs. Noise could be throw out bearing, pressure plate, or even a loose flywheel.
The reverse pop out happens when a gear has been chipped on one side, and the fix is to flip it to get fresh teeth. But the root of the problem is repeated crunching when shifting into reverse, very common. This is caused by failure to completely release the clutch when the pedal is pressed, which is caused by either a bad pilot bearing in the flywheel, lack of lubricant on the splines of the clutch shaft, bad pressure plate, a sloppy clutch pedal, air in clutch hydraulics, bad clutch master cylinder, etc.
