How to hook up "pressure switch" for passenger heated seat

How is the spring switch for the passenger's heated seat supposed to work? Mine was just hanging from the seat, unattached. Tried wrapping the chain around the horizontal bar on which the release handle is attached, but couldn't get the chain/switch taut enough to open when no one in seat. Anyone have a picture from a manual? Have verified with VOM that switch works and that there is power to heater pad, with no shorts. All that's left is to figure out this switch. Any & all help appreciated.
