i.e, what is your fuel pressure at idle/full boost? You may have to plumb in a fuel pressure gauge (I wouldn't use a mechanical gauge with a line into the cabin....use an external transmitter and an electrical fp gauge if you want a permanent gauge, otherwise just duct tape the mechanical gauge to your windshield so you can read it from the inside).
What is the injector pulse width at full boost?
What is engine compression/leakdown...i.e., is engine sealing well?
Clamps on hoses tight, hoses good? 86 was a long time ago and if hoses are OEM they're soft for sure and maybe leaking/oil damaged. Turbos are tough on hoses.
compressor bypass valve leaking? Not unusual.
