A friend is considering a purchase of an 85 900 turbo that's in generally excellent condition. There are 3 issues.
1) When the brake pedal is depressed, the turn signals (or hazards) will not work. As soon as you let go of the brake, the signals work. I should also mention that the turn signal dash lights seem to have a very slight glow when the brake pedal is pressed. Ideas where to look? I've never done electrical stuff before.
2) The clutch requires you to push all the way to the floor to get it to disengage. It then re-engages very quickly as you let off the pedal, making smooth launches in first a little tough. I forgot to check for leaking at the master cylinder. Is this what it feels like when the disc and pressure plate simply need replacing? To me, it seems almost backwards. A worn out pressure plate/disc, it seems, would require less work to pull apart. Of course, what do I know???
3) The drivers side seat (leather) has no bottom support. Great for holding you butt in place but it makes for an awkward seating position!!! Seems an easy rebuild. Opinions, comments?
