About 6 weeks ago I changed the crank seal, harmonic balancer(HB) and the oil pump o ring. Did the work all according to the Townsend directions , including the polishing of the oil pump mating surface.
After 3 weeks of driving I noticed couple of drops of oil on the garage floor. cleaned the whole HB and oil pump area and turned on the car. Crawled under it and noticed that it was coming out of the inside of the HB. Seeing that the oil pump mating surface is clean, it means that its leaking from the newly installed big white crank seal. Some said its because I used the old style white seal.
Well, I got me a new "black" seal and opened up the whole deal again, including the 27mm big bad bolt. But now I can not slide the pulley (Harmonic balancer) off the shaft . Anyone have this problem before? The original old one came right off.
I'm literally stuck.
Thanks in advanc
