Sure hope someone can help me. Driving home from work (last night) it was
raining heavily. Stopped at store noticed a little steam thought it was caused by cold rain on hot car. Drove 1/4 mile car lost power and quit.
Friend checked car there was still a tiny bit of coolant in tank when the cap was removed the coolant drained very quickly from bottle.
I am relatively certian the temp guage did not go beyond half .Friend thinks car overheated. Nevertheless car will not start just turns
over in fact tried so much starter was cutting out intermittently.
There was a stromg smell of antifreeze and approx. 2-3 tbsp. noticeable
halfway betwwn battery and windshield. (low at battery level)
The car is 88 non turbo in great shape and has been very faithful it is my only transportation. I sure hope I have not killed it. Any thoughts or ideas are most welcome.Thank you.
