I wouldn't dismiss the OE intercooler out of hand - it may not be as good as the front mounted 9000 item but it will still do a pretty good job ( +10bhp) and unless you add to your list the APC system you won't get (safley) beyond stock FTP power anyway and the original IC is 'adequate' for this amount of power. The main problem with the OE unit is not particularly it's size (although it could be bigger) but that it gets very poor air flow - it's sandwiched betwen the headlight and airbox . The cheapest upgrade therefore is to put a fan on the back of it ( any small car rad fan will do) - this pulls more air through the unit and should improve things a lot ( I have yet to test mine!) - you have to get rid of the airbox also and put a cone filter directly on the AMM - another upgrade !
