Complete Loss of clutch pressure... Posted by Jake [Email] ![]() ![]() |
Hi there.. 88 900S sitting in traffic tonight, car was not moving, had the clutch in, and the tranny in first. Felt a slight pop in the clutch pedal, and the car began to move forward.. nfg! pumped the clutch, absolutely zero pressure all the way from the top to the floor. Anyways, coasted to a stop, called AAA.. there was no clutch fluid near the pedal, and everything felt dry down there. Didn't have a flashlight, but from what I could see with the street lights, the brake/clutch fluid resevoir was low, but not empty. Brakes still worked fine. I couldn't get much more diagnosis done, seeing as it was pouring out and I wasn't enjoying the horns or the middle fingers from the drivers going by. Anyways, you guys think you could give me your opinions on what this could be? I was thinking maybe a blown seal in the master cylinder, or a blown hydraulic hose.. Had the clutch cover off maybe a year ago, and the discs were totally dry, slave was fine. Master cylinder replaced approx. 2 years ago.
TIA,
Jake
