Order a Bentley manual and forget the owner's manual. You can order them directly from Bentley or from a saabnet sponsor like sobstory, also a great source for tune up parts or whatever you need.
The sorting out that you have ahead of you is pretty easy with the Bentley manual, even if you haven't done much work on cars yourself. You've just started a new hobby.

For example, the dashlights are easily replaced by removing the speaker and grill(2 #10 torx screws or small phillips). The two larger bulb holders near the top light the whole dash. Be sure to replace with 3 watt bulbs rather than the 5 watt #194's, which look the same. Then you won't melt(or continue to melt) dimples in the hard plastic panel, causing very annoying intermittent lighting. Clean the holder contacts and bend the base tabs up a bit to make better contact.

The seat heater problem is likely to be a broken wire right at the seam under the driver's seat cover. The driver's seat comes out with two allen bolts and you can peel back the cover(make sure you unhook the small springs pulling the cover down to the frame so you don't rip the hoop out). Then locate the break and jump it with a short piece of wire. Better to solder the jumper in. A dealer will probably want to put in a new heating element($$$). The Bentley manual has the troubleshooting sequence to pin down the problem, before you pull out the seat.

Alarm was probably disconnected for good reason, pain in the neck and troublesome.
