Funky, isolated idle problem since colder weather

Mine's an 89 3dr base n/a. Central Wisconsin, where it's getting colder in the mornings.
Every week day I get in start the car, drive 20 min to work - relatively smooth idle, good drivability.
Since the weather has gotten a bit colder - on weekends - I get in, start car, have smooth 5 min drive to grocery store. I get in after store, start, drive - erratic and low idle with stalling, occasional check engine light that goes out after a minute or two.
Only other symptoms - every once in a great while, after long drives, car will stick at about a 1200 - 1500 rpm idle. I do note an occassional slight hesitation only in 2nd, 3rd gears on accel.
I cleaned throttle plate and AIC a couple months ago. I've replaced some vaccuum hoses and grommets and I'm pretty sure of no vaccuum leaks.
I suspect O2 sensor, poss AMM? Thoughts, opinions?
TIY,
SDBWORKS
