A SAAB mechanic told me the best way to remove that bolt (once the nut is removed)is to use a 2 lb hammer and strike the end of the control arm dead on. This loosens the grip of the tapered bolt while not risking any pressure placed on the arm in such a way as to bend or break it. I've done it successfully a few times. Repeated blows did the trick. How hard? Not like you're hammering spikes into a railroad bed, but good and hard. It should just fall out.
