Hi, folks...

I can't contain my enthusiasm about a massive stroke of good luck. A guy I know is getting rid of his old '86T which has been sitting around for 2+ years. He finally decided to get it towed away, and invited me to scavinge some parts for my car.

There was some cool stuff in there- vent covers, 3 little black caps which will fit my winter shelby rims (somehow stuck into "teardrop" rims without center covers); the APC and ECU; 1 uncracked H4 headlight lens (one of mine is cracked, but not for long); front turn signals, headlight bezels, and grille; the gearshift lever, turn signal/wiper stalks in very good condition, rear grey leather headrests in much better shape than the tattered seats, power antenna, and a rear window with an intact defroster grid.

In addition to all of that... a SAAB/MOMO leather steering wheel!!!

Whooo Hoooo!!!!

I've already replaced the rear window- it wasn't as hard as I had feared. Can't wait for a frosty morning to test the defogger. My car is also sporting the side vent covers, and of course the steering wheel.

I'm gonna have to think of a damn good xmas present for this guy. :o)
