studded tires installed backwards and using 195/65

Someone let me have their 4 Pirelli W190 195/65 studded snow tires that they used on a Mercedes. I need it only for 1 season because of a planned temporary move.
Past posts seem to suggests (but not actually say it) that the taller tire will fit and not rub up against anything, at least for other brands (Pirelli were not mentioned). Anyone who has knowledge otherwise, please post.
The tires are studded and were driven in one direction. However, that guy forgot to mark it last year. Therefore, it's possible that it could be installed so that it is driving in the opposite direction (like driving reverse). The tire is not directional. Is that ok?
I heard that it is ok, except it's possible that the tire will throw out or lost a stud or two because they are seated to turn in one direction after having been used previously. Truth or myth or safe?
