still an answer. All depending on if they did something else together with the trans swap. Did they put the same style trans in or did you go from auto to stick or wise versa?
If you go from auto to stick or the other way, the oilpump pickup tube have to be replaced with right one. It's an o-ring on the tube that goes into oil pump. That o-ring is rock hard after years of driving and have to be replaced. I replace it even if I don't do the conversion, ( it's only a 1 min work) when I have the trans/engine split apart.
Even without the conversion it is still a chance that they bumped the pickup tube taking it apart or lowering the engine back down onto trans and disturbed the o-ring. (that's the reason I always replace it with a new one, to be on the safe side).
Or as I mentioned in earlier post. It's golden opportunity to do the oilpump together with trans job, but you have to keep the guide pins in or have a special tool to align the pump.
The solution for now is to have them check A: oil pressure. B:inspect pump if they had it apart. C: remove pump and inspect outer end of oilpump pickup tube to see if it is visible dislocated.D: remove engine/trans and inspect/repair pickup tube.
