alright.....i have only owned this car for 3 weeks and found tons of little things needing to be done but one i am mad about
seems the heater valve for the heater core is plastic (very dumb....old style is metal and should of stayed that way)
anyways, the person before me had a mechanic that overtighened these and broke both of them off leaving the hose to come off a bit and yep....if you guessed it it ran down the inside of the car all over my carpet. but what is worse now is that i have to rip the whole heater core out to replace this which should be fun...clean the carpet and basically not drive the car for awhile.
who has seen this happen before? are these plastic valves really that wimpy or was it just age, heat and pressure that broke them off?
whatever it was...i would rather have this tricky and important part made of brass, copper....anything but plastic. dumb move by saab in my mind
