I changed my two fuel pump relays today based on the recommendations of "my mechanic" Mike Schadan of SPG9. The car is an '86 900T SPG. After replacing the the pre-pump, main pump, and fuel filter several months ago Mike suggested I change the two oe relays loacted near the ecu. Oe Bosch no 0 332 015 013. According to Mike everytime I shut the car off these relays cause a spike in the ecu. I replaced the pair with Bosch 0 332 015 006 these relays have a 'blue K' written on them and are not suppossed to cause the electical spike. Got the relays from Sobstory for $14.10 each, thanks Jim. Took all of ten minutes to do. If you have this era car you might consider doing this preventative maintenance.
