well guys, my idle problem has apparently fixed itself. let's hope my 85 900t continues to run this good tomorrow and longer, cause you guys won't believe what i had to go thru to arrive at this point. last wednesday, i was driving from ann arbor to toronto to visit relatives over my thanksgiving break. i was a little wary of driving the 250 or so miles with my bad idle, etc, but i was soon to find out that my problems would stem from somewhere else. i was not even 15 min into my trip when a piece of metal comes flying at me from the dodge ram in front of me or something. there is no way for me to avoid it at the 75mph i'm traveling at, and i run over it resulting in an immediate blow out. thankfully i am able to control the car and come to a stop at the side of i-94. when i think back, i doubt very much that i even checked my mirrors, etc, so i guess i was very lucky i came to a safe stop. there didn't seem to be any other damage to the car other than a nick in my front bumper, and i was able to get to a tire shop and replace my tire and continue on my way. to my surprise, after all this, the car was running and idling perfectly, and it stayed perfect throughout the trip there and back. well, that's my thanksgiving adventure! happy saabin'
