It was time for a road trip and so we departed the Dallas, TX area for Santa Fe, NM. We stopped in Amarillo and hicked in the Palo Duro Canyon and headed for Santa Fe the next morning. We played in Santa Fe for a day and the following day we headed 50 miles north west to Bandelier National Monument and climbed among the ruins of the Anasazi Indians of 2000 years ago (very cool). Then we headed for the the mountains (Jemez mountains) where we found one of the many natural hot springs, clothing optional, where we soaked our bods and watched the sunset, which was incredible.
When we got back to town I was finally impressed with the cars performance. No break downs, no issues. The car performed amazing well through the mountains where I thought I might see some performance issues with thinner air. Lost some power but overall not a problem. On the highway I tried to keep my speed between 80-85 mph not pushing the car over 3200 rpm. With only 3000 miles on a new set of Yokohama S306's, p195/60 r15, and a recent minor tuneup plus oil change and radiator fluid change the car absolutely lived up to its potential. I'm looking forward to the next road trip!!
