ISSUE: I have a 1979 900 non-turbo still with the B-motor. Now that the weather has finaly turned cold here it is having a cold start issue, wanting to stall at idle and hesitating durring acceleration. I beleive this is all being cuased by a faulty cold start valve. I know that the cold start valve is not functioning as the wires leading from it are not connected anything. They run into the dash and lead to nothing. So my question is... Is ther any kind of work around I can do to get the valve working? Where does it connect to? I can't find any referrence in my manuals about what the cold start wires to?
Any help will be apperciated, Thanks
STORY: Back in summer I got this 22 year old 900 for $100 just as a mess around toy. It's rough, rusty and is so out of time the firing order has had to been adjusted but it still runs and now, thanks to a drunk driver (he blew a .28) crushing my roommates car, this long in the tooth 900 is back in the starting rotation.
