I never bothered...just drop the rear seat and load it up. Any more than two on a ski trip is too many in the car :>) Last time I took my wife and daughter in the car home from Mt Tremblant, the kid got sick about four times from Montreal to Lake Champlain(?) in VT...too many curvy roads and the snows are limber sidewalls. Kid rode fine in the front seat after that and Mommy sat in the rear, somewhat nauseated until we hit the Interstates.
Note that I had a roof rack and Thule box on the top because I was too lazy to drop the rear seat and pack the car which I usually do.
But I guess you could gut a seatback from a volvo and install the bits in the plywood back of the saab seat...
