New pads/rotors leave 'sun rays' pattern?

The new front brake pads (PBR Deluxe) and rotors (Brembo) I put on my '92 900T are great, except they were a tight fit, even with the calipers pushed back. The funny thing is, they squeak now (200 miles broken in) and there's a sort of 'sun rays' streaking pattern on the rotors radiating center to outside rim showing up on the shiniy new rotors. It almost looks like burn marks.
I considered having the rotors turned on a lathe before installation, but they looks and felt smooth out of the box, and I know the rotors don't have much margin to start with.
What gives?
