A common leak point is the seal atop the rack, where the steering column slips into the unit. The seal at the very top just beneath a ring collar is the culprit in that instance. Mine leaks there. It actually was far worse several months ago. I tried using a "seal conditioner" which did slow it down some, then began using a top grade PS fluid, which has all but stopped the leak. It used to leak an entire quart of fluid per week, now it's more like a quart every six weeks. I think what happened was the fluid was so old to begin with, which caused the seal to dry up and shrink. A combination of flushing (leaking) the old fluid out, plus the seal conditioner and using quality fluid must have restored it to it's current so so condition. I'll get around to fixing it come springtime.
Another leak area are the hose connections to the PS pump itself, plus the rack hose fittings.
