Ok, I have a 1989 900t 16v, and in the upper coolant hose leaving the radiator there is a sensor coming out of the hose with two prong sticking out, looks like a big electrical plug that you'd plug in.. either way, there is nothing plugged into it, and right below it, are 2 wires that appear like they should plug into each prong, but are instead plugged into each other.. so my question, is that sensor in the upper coolant hose my temp sending unit? And why would the 2 wires be unplugged and plugged into each other? the car came like this, is it bypassing the sending unit? The car never runs hot, have checked it via gauge, and by checking at the engine too.. any suggestions? Thanks
