Can't help you with the oil dipstick foam querry, but I can take a stab at the foggy window issue. You live in the northwest where it rains often, right? A likely scenario is the rubber seal along the trunk has lost it's sealing qualities. When that happens, water draining along the two corners of your trunk trickles inside along that seal. It'll mostly drain into the spare tire recess, but can also just as likely dampen the carpeting or trunk lining somewhat. That water then evaporates and settles onto the windows as fog. Another possible place for water to find it's way into the trunk area is the tailight assembly.
