Hi, all.
I know my heater valve on my '84 900S is going, going, gone. Ever since I got this car back in November I've noticed a slight antifreeze odor when I turn on the heater. Plus, for a week prior to now, I've seen a 2-3 inch spot of slimy fog on the driver's side interior of my windshield. I've scanned bunches of posts on this terrific BB and was hoping heater valve wasn't going.

However, last night, I saw (gasp) the dreaded antifreeze on my pedals, carpet, and trickling down my steering column shaft. My worst fears are confirmed. (Doesn't sound that bad, though. This isn't my 1st 900, just my 1st h-valve job.)

I have a junker 900S of same year and will just swap valves, as t'other one was working fine until car was hit last year. I'm worried about Bentley manual's "accelerator pedal modification" note. Anybody know about that???

That said, any last minute words of wisdom? I plan to tackle it this weekend, hopefully. I've looked at Townsend Imports' webpage on the subject (which is very good, BTW) & have seen the FAQ on this site. Anything else? I am also the proud owner of a Bentley manual for a month now, so I hope I can do-it-myself. Any kernels of knowledge chucked my way will be greatly appreciated.

TIA,
Micah in NC
