high idle question, same old problem......

1985 900t with bad harness, replace LH harness from same year. Get everything square and start the car up. With AIC pluged into harness, car idles around 2800/3000RPM. Checked wires to AIC/LH and they are good. Tried other LH brains same thing. As a matter of fact, my other 1985 900t now idls at 3000RPM with the AIC plugged in.
What happened? All 3 of my LH brains in both cars all idle high! What can I check out? What makes the LH put full ground to the AIC motor(it has constant 12vdc from battery)? Anyone check LH brains? I would hate to trash a 4th LH brain!
TIA,
Ed S
