I had an older clutch line on my kids 88 so rather than risk it OR buy the $50 OEM part, I went to a local supply house that makes hydraulic fittings. Told them what I wanted and for about $25 they made me a braided line to replace the rubber portion (only) of the oem line. Take your old one along and have them cut off the rubber part and replace it with braided on one end, with the same fittings on each end. Sounds complicated perhaps but its simple.... you are just patching in a piece of braided in place of the rubber. Works fine for us, and should last forever. Don't use anything else, btw, could be dangerous. The guy at the hose placed reinforced this too.
