I just ripped it ALL off Posted by Nathan Pflaum [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: You found the EGR system, Randy Thatcher 90 SPG, Tue, 8 Jan 2002 01:40:08 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I took a bolt from an old Saab to fill the hole on the exhaust manifold. Then I took off that line going to a module below the throttle body. I then took off the module thing below the throttle body and replaced that hole with some scrap metal and I used the gasket that was already there to seal it off. I am guessing that because the gasket was near perfect and the module was very clean that it had been replaced sometime before I got the car. Then I just disconnected the wire that lead into the fuel jet wiring harness. That was it. I looked up in my Bentley Manuel that those wires were just a temp sensor of some kind. I did nothing else. But I did notice that on my oil pressure gauge the pressure is just a little higher, but not much higher.
You said that these EGR systems are expensive to replace, about how much?
