Advice on removing electric seats.....

I've got to pull the carpet in the convertible because the top has finally reached the end. I was really hoping to get a few more months out of it but...Got in this morning and the passenger side front and rear floors are soaked real well. All this freezing and thawing we've had here in the NE the last few weeks has done it.
Anyway, going to get new top but...in the meantime I need to pull the carpet to dry it out. I've pulled the carpet in my '90 with manually adjustable seats but was wondering if there is anything interesting to consider when taking out electrically adjustable seats....other than just disconnecting the plugs, taking out console etc. Thinking about it...it seems that pulling carpet out of the convertible would be easier than in the hatchback because of how the rear seat pops out.
Any thoughts, comments, advice, etc. are welcomed.
TIA
