That is symptomatic if you have a clogged or dirty air filter. Under that condition the engine is forced to pull air from within itself through the valve cover breather hose (connected to the air filter box) plus the turbo unit itself under vacuum conditions. The situation could also be compounded if the turbo oil outlet is clogged. Even under normal rpm conditions oil is forced through the turbo, and if there's a slowdown upon exiting it'll ooze out the turbo shaft seals, half of it getting burned up in the cat convertor and the other half being pushed along the inlet tube. The 82T I bought and restored recently had that condition. With a new air filter (the old one was completely clogged) and the turbo oil outlet cleaned out, I now get the normal average amount of oil leaking past the turbo seals and from the valve cover hose. We're talking teaspoonfuls over six months instead of half cups.
