No one other than myself has ever worked on this car since I've owned it. I went through and checked all of the wiring in front of the firewall when I toasted the second one. I replaced a questionable ground wire with one of only slightly larger guage (10 guage). The alternator only grounds on a stud of maybe 3-4mm. I replaced the 12 guage stock ground wire that was connecting it to the oil filter mount with a 10 guage wire and cleaned all the connections. The third alternator last less than two weeks. I replaced it again last night. I'll see how long this one lasts. I was told by the guy at Schucks that if I keep going through them "corporate" will request that they just refund my money and send me elsewhere. I told them I would "LOVE" that....We'll see.
