I just replaced all 3 motor mounts on my 88' 900 on Friday. The left one is a bear, but doable (I did it and I'm not the greatest home mechanic!). I removed the AC compressor (set it out of the way), the coolant expansion tank (I had to wire it out of the way), and the alternator. After that, it really wasn't that difficult. I didn't have to take the motor mount bracket apart, just removed the 17mm bolt that runs through the mount. Then jack up the left side of the engine just enough for the bracket to clear the mount (I used a piece of 2x4 between the engine and the jack). Then remove the 2 13mm nuts that secure the mount to the frame (you have to access these from underneath the car. I used a universal joint and a long extension.) Installation is the reverse of removal. It took about 3 hours for the left one. The front and right mounts are MUCH easier to replace.
