ALl I want to do is get this damn timing chain cover OFF. Does the manual tell me that I have to loosen the Crank nut before I disengage the clutch permanently? NO. So I've got the engine up in the air, power steering pump off, belts all off, etc. etc. So I think I'll outsmart my problem and stick a screwdriver through one of the holes in the cam sprocket to hold everything still, and *crack*, I demolished some oil return type of plastic piece that goes to the hydraulic lines for the lifters (no big deal, I'll get a new one and put it in), and now it looks like I can't get the cover off without removing a bracket that the ENGINE HOIST IS ATTACHED TO. Oh Man! Which way does the crank nut need to turn? Is this a reverse thread nut? Anybody got a better idea for keeping the engine from turning over while I crank on it? I'm so freaking far through this operation that it will make me puke if I have to call the junkyard tomorrow and tell them to come get this piece of crap out of my garage. Please help me before I buy a 9000.
