Those set screws can be a bear. I did all 4 rotors this summer and the screws were seized pretty good. Of course, I started the project before knowing this with the car on jack stands. Do yourself a HUGE favor and get teh following:
1 can of Parts Buster
1 easy out
1 small drill bit
Drill a small hole in center of each set screw, tap in easy-out and using pliers or some sort grip, begin rotating. Screws should pop. No need to replace screws as Doug is right, the wheels, lugs, and calipers give the rotor the support it needs to stay put.
Use the PB if needed...doesn't hurt to have around anyway.
Good luck.
