94S CV, 98K:
On the thruway the other night, going on a straightaway, the car dies at 65mph. I threw the trans into neutral (auto) and back into Drive - it restarted and everything seemed okay after that. Until... I got off the thruway and was turning left and the car dies again. On the shoulder, frustrated, I try to start it again and it will turn over but not catch. So I waited a couple minutes and tried again, this time flooring it as it cranked. It started and made it about 1.5 miles and stalled again (thank god I could at least coast into a parking lot). This time it would not start, no way, no how. So it spent the night at the shopping center. Next morning, I stopped by on my way to work and it started right up and made it all the way home and seems to run just fine now... but I don't feel confident enough to drive it to work.
Overall, does anyone have any clue as to what could have happened?? I did fill the tank earlier that day, but I've been told that you very rarely can receive a bad tank of gas (especially from Exxon?). If there is something wrong with the gas, is there any type of additive I could try??
Thanks in Advance !!
