in the archives, there's a wonderful treatise about how to remove and replace the leather covers. armed with this information and a rainy day off from work, i hauled the front seats inside. i started with the passenger's side, and following the directions, it was easy to remove the cover from the seat bottom. it took a couple hours, but i restitched the seams with the existing holes in the leather using fishing line (couldn't find any thread i liked the look of and had already decided this was going to be a zero cost project :) anyway, the passenger's side is done and is gorgeous. i'll tackle the driver's side soon, which is worse since the seams are torn in both the seat back and bottom. anyway, search the archives! with some free time, you really can make the seams look good as new. if you need to know more i can try to help. good luck!
