well, I think this tangerine is to flashy. But try differents tones on a large piece of steel and it's certainly possible to find something really "working".

By the way, there is a lot to say in the area of Saab colors, at least for the 900 classic.Back in the 80's I remember much more variety than now.
But a lot of 900 are blue, silver, white, black, red. Some cabs are yellow.
I live in Norway and there are still a lot of 900 and 90 driving around, plus more I can see when I trip in the neighbour's country, Sweden, saab's homeland. Sometimes one can see some interesting green or gold cars, but I never have seen one like the 900 GL ,year 84, I had until last week: a BEIGE, something like a very pale brown, almost a kind of dull tangerine.
Surprising in the beginning, but after some weeks you can't live without this color. And you never waist time looking for the car in a big car park...
Get a look at the car on http://abravo.org/saab.html

The car had 220 000 kms/ 136 000 miles, one carburettor, and was going just fine. I travelled with it from Oslo through Sweden, Danmark, Germany, France in december. A 7000 kms/4400 miles trip .150 km/h - 93 mph and just fine...

Sigh..A bastard has stolen it one night last week...He could had chosen a Mercedes or a BMW and sell it on the black russian market. No no no ,he took a 136 000 miles BEIGE Saab 84 !

So now my tears are dry and I'm going to buy another Saab 900 pre-87.

About your car: maybe can you ask a Saab reseller in your area to show a catalog of the colors used by the company. They maybe have some kind of tangerine that has been already tested ...

Good luck !

Antonio.
