Which is why the stock speakers suck so much. To get a decent sound, you want something with a beefier base magnet, which I why I went with some component POLK Audio speakers.
The problem with most 4" speakers you MIGHT want to use, is that they are not FLUSH MOUNT (meaning the integrated tweeter sticks up and would hit the speaker grill). So for really good sound get some component speakers (physically seperate midrange and tweeters). The midranges mount where the old speakers went, and you'll need to find a place that you like to mount the tweeters. Search this BB for "tweeter" or "component speakers" and you'll hear how many of us have found innovative ways to mount component speakers....
