...were you asking in relation to the noise thing I was asking about in my post a few days ago (that I linked to)? It just seems to sound different (more throaty, I think, is as close as I can get to it) than my '89 900S N/A.
It is not exceptionally noisy, no--just seems to have a little chatter (maybe) when first started and for a little while until it warms up. It might not even be chatter that I'm hearing--its very hard to classify!
I'm reasonably sure it's not the timing chain, as it seems to go away and doesn't really sound like .. a chain.
I'll check on the better cables--but the car still always starts. It may do it's hard start/weird turnover thing, but it still starts every time. It's just a lot less... confident, perhaps, when it does this thing. I'm not at home--I'm at school--and I don't have the car here with me! I'll be going home next week, so I'm trying to gather all the information and pointers I can so I can tackle the bunch of problems that the car has all in that week!
