The install is pretty straightforward. It's the removal of the old ones that'll get you in trouble...
Last time I did shocks, the old ones actually unscrewed without any problems. The lower ends are usually not a problem, but the upper ends, particularly on the rears can be. Be prepared to use a nut cracker on them.
If you haven't gotten new bushings, I recommend the SAS poly bushings (http://www.sasaab.com). I think their recommendation of only using the poly at one end of the shock is good for street cars. I've also found no poly bushings to withstand the pounding at the top of the front shocks. Use the Saab original bushings there. I use poly at the bottom of the fronts, and top of the rears.
Good luck!
