Out on my own, ever less practical to travel to parents and use garage/tools. Cont. building basic, capable tool collection. What do you more experienced wrenchers/techs get good utility from?
-Existing tools, of mechanical relevance:
-multidriver kit, jewelers, stubbies, dedicated drivers for high use tips
-pliers: 2needles, lineman, clipper, small long-nose vice, circlip in/out
-punch and set set, hammer
-hex keys, SAE & metric
-3/8" sockets, metric, 6-19mm shorts and deepwells, 21-23 short, 19mm crowsfoot (balljoints), 32mm, deepwell-type O2, both sparkplugs, wrench, ext's, adapters. 1/2" wrench, 1/2" 20-150# torque wrench.
-box wrenches 6-19mm, 22mm, 1/4"-15/16". One emergency crescent wrench
-lg nutsplitter
-1/2" port cord drill (love Bosch, but Milw too), 1/16"-1/2" bit set, guage
-hand pop-riveter
-calipers and iffy micrometer, various marking and measuring bits, utility knives
-misc. surgical instr, 60ml syring, brushes, epoxy
Think I need:
SAE sockets (not saab, but duh)
3/8" 75# torque wrench (when need arises for next project)
Split logically between 3 nice boxes w drawers & deep lid tops, for portability.
TIA,
