Silcone intake hose- poped off. Long

I needed new intake hoses all around. So I priced out the OEM and realized that the Hose Techinques were about the same price and colored. Clamps were much more though!
So I replaced them with HT and their constant tension T-bolt (stainless) clamps. I thought I had them pretty tight, but I blew the hose of the intake manifold going 4K in third (yeah- some red line boost too, but I was in hurry). Instant dead, but was able to safely pull into a parking lot and repair. 12" cresent wrench on 11MM nut- yes it was annoying (now carrying 11MM with me).
The jury is out on the hose- thin, but strong. not sure if the tip of motor pulled it off- or the clamp was not tight enough. I guess I will see. The clamps look great, but you need a deep well to get on and off, and beacuse they are a fine thread- it takes a while.
HT does not sell the reducer Saabs need, but I working a deal to make it happen. They come 3.15" in length, but one of the hoses will have to be longer- HT is willing to cut a custom peice.
Will keep you posted.
