... lawn-mower on my car!
Well, actually it fell out of an Volvo 850 bounced around and hit the rear right panel while I was trying to avoid it (I was on the left lane).
So we stopped, he denied it had hit my car, damage was already there or some crap!!... so we argued, he bluffed, gave false I.D. and left. (sorry first time I experienced an accident... not really prof. I know)

So I came home, felt really crossed, called the police, they said my chances were zilch because I didn't have any witnesses... but they were willing to come over because I had a licence plate number (and they had nothing else to do :-)
So the officer called him up, he was still crawling in every little crawl space to deny my story (it wasn't his car, someone else was driving it, well you name it he used it)... so the officer bluffed by telling him that he would be called to the station and lined up and his penalty would be increased by the fact that he left the scene, gave false ID and lied to the (nice) officer.... that's when the B'strd finally gave in and paid the $400 in the end. If he had stayed with his story my chances were zero of winning. So I feel quite happy that it turned out ok...

Pfjuuw, so I now carry a cell-phone and fire extinguisher in my car (not just to put out flames, but.... well you get the idea :-)
( and am planning to have a 'book-of-witnesses-who-happend-to-be-there' made up)

Those stories just really pi$$ me off, because I know how you feel

(This happend in Europe where the police is more limited and regulated in their actions than in the US)
