I forgot to mention he said the O-ring around the distributor could be going bad too. He said if it was the head itself leaking, it would be 700 to get it fixed. Maybe he was implying after labor and all it would be 700 to get fixed or that's how much the part is. I should email him and ask him. He doesn't have the steam cleaner in his shop so he couldn't do it then. There is a body shop 2 minutes away from my house that said they'd do it for $20, then I'm taking it back to John to get the problem diagnosed. I've slowly been learning about my car ever since day 1 (Day 1, my windshield wiper pulley system broke in a bad ice storm, it sucked driving with your head out the window with ice flying at you. The guy who is painting and fixing the rest of the body on my 89 Saab 900 non-turbo said it will take at least a week to paint, sand, and buff the rest of my car, so the earliest I will be getting it back to look at the oil problem is Friday the 22nd or Saturday. I'll let everybody know what the finally diagnoses is.
