If I remember correctly, when the seals in the master cylinder go bad, then the brake fluid CAN leak into the brake booster (what gives the "power" brake assist) and seem to 'disappear' with no visible leak.
Do you notice a difference in how that brakes work? Spongy or low pedal? Does pedal sink to the floor? Just curious.
If it is a manual tranny, then maybe there is a problem with the clutch system (it uses same fluid and reservoir as the brakes). Check the little rubber hose leading from the brake reservoir to the clutch master cylinder, straight below on the firewall, to see if it is not fastened/seated correctly or torn. Also, check around clutch slave cylinder--radiator side of engine--where rubber clutch hose is crimped to metal clutch fluid pipe. That's a common leak point as crimp ages.
