Well, 2 weeks ago, i brought my car to my mechanic for a new slave cyclender, that was replaced. I got it back, and drove it for a week, then noticed a large amount of fluid leak (probably drove about 250 miles in this time). I filled the tranny with oil that it had lost, and it was nearly dry (it took almost 3 liters to fill, and only holds 3 liters). Brought it to my mechanic, and the clutch shaft seal (that they did not replace when doing the slave cyclender) was the problem. They are currently working on the car to replace the seal that was not replaced earlier.

My concern is when the car is all fixed up, did i damage my transmission (rebuilt at the end of august this past summer, only 6 months of driving on it) by driving on it for potentially upto a week with very little fluid? How much damage would have been done? What can i do to make sure the transmission is still in good condition? I really need to make sure that it is still alright, because i need this rebuild to last for many years, the rebuild was too much to do again any time soon. Thoughts? Comments?
