The prep is no fun, and the glue down is most

interesting!

Get the 3m SuperTrim adhesive (took me 5 cans with sunroof)

Wait a MINIMUM of 10-15 minutes before attempting to attach. Can says you can work in 5 minutes; true but where you put it is where it will stay! Wait at least 15, then if you err, you can pickup again and reposition.

Get a larger diameter roll, light weight, wide enough to bridge the headliner shell. As you work sections, roll material back over this large radius rod (must be lightweight to avoid causing depressions). Don't spray the glue right up into the "crotch" of shell & liner, this is where it will soak thru if you overdo the spray (ask me how I know...). I used a broomstick and this was too heavy and not large enough diameter in my opinion.

Use your palms of your hands, not finger tips/thumbs! Got this trick from the headliner shop & he was dead nuts on. Use your palms or else you will crush the foam and end up with finger tip prints in your finished headliner.

Finally, when you get down to the last section, be very careful about OVERSPRAY (again, ask me ....). TRy as you will, it is trickey to aim the 3m can with deadly precision. If you twitch, your finished headliner will have green spots on it. I recommend a clean sheet of poly plastic, to drag up befind as you work so you don't have an accidental overspray.

Beyond these tips, everything in the FAQ is pretty accurate. Make sure you do it outdoors, or the fumes will empty your house.
