I'll bet you leaned on the hose to the intercooler from the turbo and opened a leak somehow. Refasten your clamps and check all plumbing from turbo to intake. If any hose clamps are loose between turbo and intake you will get unusual whistles, whines, etc.
You can check turbo by removing the ouput hose and spinning/wiggling the rotor. If no play in and out and the blades do not hit anything, your turbo is probably OK.
