oil Leak

My 85 900T 16v with approx 225K had a bad oil leak, about 2 quarts a week. Since my previous Saab, 84T, had the same problem, I knew to change the oil pump o-ring and shaft seal. After I had everything apart and ready to go back in, I was scotch-Briting the pully hub and my fingernail caught on something, it was cracked through and had a ridge that probably ate my seal away. So I got a new pully/harmonic from Auburn Foreign Car ($100) because I needed it ASAP. Everything went back together fine. I lubricated the seal and pully hub with vasoline (like Townsend said) but after putting together the darn thing leaks almost like I didn't do anything.
I got the seals from SaabStory. Could the pully be wrong? Did I put too much vasoline?
Could there be another likely spot for an oil leak? While under the car, my first time for this Saab, I noticed my oil cooler hoses were leaking at the cooler. Any other spots? The oil smokes bad especcially after an uphill acceleration and then idling. The smoke comes out the front grill on both left and right sides.
Sorry this was so long but I am not looking forward to crawling under the car again especially in the Tacoma Cold rain and my gravel driveway.
Thanks
Bill A
