My 85 900 turbo had this problem. The lower A-arm finally broke loose after hitting a curb. Cost me $500 to have new metal welded in and car lasted another 70,000 miles (325,000 total) until I was T-bones by brand new Benz (still had the dealer plates on it) and totaled her out. I bought the car for $250 from a buddy of mine because it needed some brake work ($1500 job at dealership) So in the end I spent a total of 1200 over 3 years and got it all back from the insurance company. I actually made a profit on that one and learned how easy Saab are to work on. I have an 87 900t with the same problem now and an 86 900 turbo convertible which I am keeping a close eye on.
